About the Championships
TerraX proudly presents the 5th edition of its highly challenging Orienteering Championship! This year’s race takes place at the open and expansive terrain of Ah Kai Shan, offering competitors a completely different racing experience. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned athlete, you will be tested across rolling hills and wide grasslands, challenging your route choice, speed control, and navigation skills. Winners in each category will receive a uniquely crafted wooden mountain trophy as a special keepsake. Do not miss this signature orienteering event of the year!

Explorers
Family class is for teams made up of 2 to 4 direct relatives. There should be at least one member aged 18 or above and another one aged 13 or below.
Explorers class is for teams made up of 2 to 4 runners, with no age limit, and suitable for novices!
*The age of participant is counted on 2026-12-31.

Str8 Magnifier
The Str8 Magnifier will change the way you look at magnified map reading and it enhances map magnification across all levels of performance.
Fitted with the optional Lens directional kit, included with the Magnifier, the Str8 Magnifier allows navigation under magnification for longer periods. Now the advantage of magnification and greater map clarity is possible for the length of a control, while still maintaining precise direction.

Participants can register by the following ways,
[RECOMMENDED] 1. Purchase a TerraX Race Pass and register with the exclusive link. (After a successful online registration, you will receive a confirmation email. That means your entry is successful.)
2. Register through the online registration system. (After a successful online payment, you will receive a confirmation email. That means your entry is successful.)
3. Online group registration and pay by cheque. Available for 5 competitors or more only. Discount available for 20 entries or more at once. Please contact us via email to acquire Excel entry form and discount details.
No refund shall be made after successful registration. Registration fee paid for duplicated entries will not be refunded. If the event has been cancelled due to inclement weather or Force majeure*, the event will be re-scheduled. If the event is cancelled again on re-scheduled date, the race will not be rescheduled again, and your entry fee will not be refunded.
*Force majeure i.e. due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the Organizer and which renders it impossible, unsafe or impractical to hold the event. A force majeure event shall include, but is not limited to, government policies, rejection of venue permits, act of God, war, hostilities, invasion, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, riot, commotion, strikes, go-slows, lock outs or disorder, outbreak of disease, acts or threats of terrorism.
Any subsequent amendment after successful registration will result in HK$50 administration fee.
The race will accept registrations after the entry deadline until 5 days before the competition. Organizer will charge a late registration admin fee of HK$50 for each registration.
Remarks
1. Event handbook & start list will be uploaded on website: https://orienteering.TerraX.hk 3 days before the event. Participants must check the event information on their own.
2. SPORTident Air+ electronic punching system will be used. Particpants may rent or use own SIAC/SI card for the race. Please use the rented card with care. If the rented control card is lost or damaged, participants are required to compensate HK$700 to the Organizer.
3. Public Liability Insurance is covered by the Organizer. Participants/Parents are advised to apply their necessary insurance.
4. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any person and / or nullify his or her result due to any violation the official rules of the event. No refund will be accommodated in the case of disqualifications.
5. The Organizer reserves the final right for any amendment, including but not limited to change of competition venues, date, time and race formats. Any changes or contingent measures for the event announced by the organizer and posted on the event’s website shall prevail.
